"The Potomac School"
A
10 minute video used to raise $50 million toward a major campus
renovation of one of the premier private, K-12 schools in the DC
area. The program used on location footage, aerial shots and computer
generated architectural images to bring the school and the renovation
to life.
"Imagine"
A 4 minute music and image montage shown at "School Night", a promotional
event hosted by "Fight for Children" a DC organization dedicated to
improving DC schools. The evening celebration, with an audience of over
1000 was a follow up to the popular fundraiser, "Fight Night".
"Vision"
A CD mailed worldwide to 4000 alumni to generate funds for a $25 million
improvement campaign. The CD included a 9 minute video highlighting the
renovation plans, a 4 minute still montage detailing the school's rich
history, a 2 minute video message from the headmaster, and links to the
school's website. As producer, director and writer, Laura managed all
production, authoring, and art direction on the CD and mailer.
"A
Beautiful Village"
A 10 minute video for the Kingman Boys and Girls Club designed as a tribute
to the founder and a fundraiser for the Club. The program was first shown
at a ceremony for the founder's retirement. The tribute portion was then
lifted out to create a fundraising tool for the organization, a DC Boys and
Girls Club that relies heavily on charitable organizations.
"Rachael's
Women's Center"
The
story of an organization that provides daytime refuge to DC's homeless
women. The informational/fundraising piece centered on the women
who come to Rachael's for shelter and guidance. "Rachael's
Women's Center" is a Cine Golden Eagle Award winner.
"Wind Turbines"
A variety of video materials developed for the American Wind Energy Association to promote wind energy. Materials include video new releases, conference promo materials and educational programs.
